In global terms, they’re the second biggest retailer in the world after Walmart and currently have 28 stores in the UK alone. Costco’s Head Office and one of their stores are based in Watford, not far from SWR Headquarters. Although SWR are very much an International company, we are always looking to establish business with companies closer to home.
That includes Costco who we’ve regularly supplied with wire rope components for signage at their Watford branch since 2006.
The Result
At SWR, we regard ourselves as a services and solutions company, not just suppliers of wire rope assemblies. This approach can be seen in the way we manage business accounts to ensure long-term success.
Our close relationship with Costco’s Watford store over the years has now resulted in SWR becoming the sole supplier of 1.5mm wire ropes and ferrules for all 28 branches in the UK. That means a lot of signage in Costco warehouses now use SWR products to keep them in place.
What began as a small order for just one store has transformed into a much larger account thanks to our commitment to building customer trust.
