We’ve Won An Environmental Award!
We’re always looking to be greener at SWR. That’s why we signed up for ACM’s Greener Path Programme in an effort to reduce our landfill waste.Well, the hard work has paid off and ACM have recognised our commitment to waste management with an award for ‘exceptional environmental performance’. We now send zero% of our rubbish to landfill sites – opting instead for more eco-friendly Energy Recovery Facilities.
We’ve also stepped up our recycling policy with all recycled waste sorted on site and then sent to the relevant centres. However, there’s certainly room for improvement and SWR will strive to become even more environmentally sound in the months to come.
About the ACM Greener Path Awards
The ACM Greener Path Awards were created to celebrate the great work businesses across the UK are doing to reduce the impact they have on the environment. Companies need to be actively minimising waste, increasing diversion from landfill and boosting recycling in order to be certified.
