Southend-on-Sea, EnglandOnce two empty office blocks, £30 million worth of investment meant a site on Victoria Avenue in Southend-on-Sea was transformed into nearly 300 luxury flats.
Sapphire Balconies, a Reading based company, were contracted to build and install 139 balconies for the new build. The high interest shown in the apartments by the public meant the installations had to be fitted quickly while still maintaining a level of quality expected for luxury properties.
Sapphire Balconies got in contact with SWR as the construction of each balcony required customised wire rope components to keep them suspended. They also needed a company flexible enough to send out wire rope in split deliveries due to on-going surveyance of the building site.
Each batch of customised stainless steel assemblies was measured, roller swaged, stamped and tested before delivery to the customer. In total, our Production Team made 248 assemblies split out over multiple deliveries and measurements.
Lloyd Parsons, Contract Manager at Sapphire Balconies, said: “SWR’s quote turnaround was very quick and allowed for split deliveries. This meant I could send new dimensions and have the next batch of wire on site within a week.
“Your Sales Team was very helpful throughout and I would definitely use SWR again” Lloyd Parsons - Contract Manager at Sapphire Balconies
