SWR can supply the superb lockable Gripple fittings which are suitable for a wide range of application and used heavily in the construction industry. The Gripple is designed to provide a simple effective alternative for terminating wire rope assemblies. The product is suitable for :

The lockable Gripple is ideal for terminating wire rope when bracing and suspending static and dynamic loads.

• Strong, fast and easy to use
• Gripple, Lockable has additional 'locking screws' to secure the wedge in place and allow minimal loads to be applied
• Safety factor on all Gripple products is 4:1
• For 2mm and 3mm versions, use wire rope with a 7x7 steel-core construction
• For 4mm to 10mm versions, use wire rope with a 7x19 steel-core construction

4 simple steps to secure in seconds .....

1. Pass a length of wire rope through one of the channels.
2. Loop the rope through an anchor point (or around any suitable bracing point).
3. Return it through the other channel, pulling at least 75mm (3") of wire rope through to leave a tail wire.
4. Secure the lockable Gripple by tightening the inserted screws (using an M5 socked wrench) to create a firm, solid and secure termination.

Installation Recommendations

• Do not re-use, for single use only
• Locking screws should always be used
• For use with a steel-core wire rope, not suitable for fibre-core rope applications
• Never tension with loacking screws in place
• Always ensure a minimum of 20cm of tail wire is left protruding from the Gripple unit prior to tensioning
• When installing the Gripple, the distance between the structure and the Gripple should equal or exceed that of the width of the structure
• Lockable Gripples are wire diameter specific
• Load ratings are based on a vertical suspension. When hanging at an angle the load capacity is reduced. Do not use at an angle in excess of 60° as the load rating is reduced by 50%
