Lockable Gripple Rope Grip

The lockable Gripple now makes catnary and bracing wire rope installation easier and faster.

The lockable Gripple is designed to secure the ends of wire ropes by simply pushing them through the gripple in one continuous loop.

The integrated locking screw can be tightened to ensure total security under dynamic load conditions.

4 simple steps to secure in seconds .....



1. Pass a length of wire rope through one of the channels.
2. Loop the rope through an anchor point (or around any suitable bracing point).
3. Return it through the other channel, pulling at least 75mm (3") of wire rope through to leave a tail wire.
4. Secure the lockable Gripple by tightening the inserted screws (using an M5 socked wrench) to create a firm, solid and secure termination.

Installation Recommendations

• Do not re-use, for single use only
• Locking screws should always be used
• For use with a steel-core wire rope, not suitable for fibre-core rope applications
• Never tension with loacking screws in place
• Always ensure a minimum of 20cm of tail wire is left protruding from the Gripple unit prior to tensioning
• When installing the Gripple, the distance between the structure and the Gripple should equal or exceed that of the width of the structure
• Lockable Gripple are wire diameter specific
• Load ratings are based on a vertical suspension. When hanging at an angle the load capacity is reduced. Do not use at an angle in excess of 60° as the load rating is reduced by 50%
